MEA personal computing devices market grows 37% in Q1

The Middle East and Africa (MEA) personal computing devices (PCD) market, for desktops, notebooks, workstations and tablets, grew by 36.6 percent in the Q1 2021, the highest annual growth in the region since Q1 2006, according to the latest report by International Data Corporation (IDC). Shipments in the region reached 6 million units in Q1 2021. The report attributes the increase to the fact that the market suffered a sharp slowdown in Q1 2020 as the Covid-19 pandemic emerged.
