Mediaset absorbs Videotime production unit

Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset has announced that production unit Videotime will be absorbed into the parent company, with the merger due to become effective on 01 March. The transaction will see each Videotime share (with a nominal value of EUR 0.52) exchanged with 0.294 Mediaset ordinary shares (with the same nominal value). Videotime was founded by Silvio Berlusconi in 1980 and is active in the design and production of self-produced television programmes.
