Mediaset acquires Rete Capri frequencies

Tuesday 14 March 2017 | 14:11 CET | News
Italian broadcaster Mediaset has reached a deal with Television Broadcasting System (TBS) to acquire channels 20, 120 and 520 on the national free-to-air DTT multiplex. The channels are currently used by Retecapri, Retecapri +1 and Retecapri HD, with Mediaset having paid around EUR 10 million for the capacity, reports Italia Oggi, adding that the broadcaster appears to have acquired the channels to keep them away from potential competitors such as Viacom and Fox.
