Mediaset may cut Premium value to reach Vivendi deal-report

Thursday 22 September 2016 | 14:43 CET | News
Italian broadcaster Mediaset could be prepared to revise its business plan for pay-TV unit Mediaset Premium and may even agree to a lower valuation for the asset to push through a new deal with Vivendi, according to unnamed sources cited by MF Online. Both companies are keen to avoid a lengthy legal battle and could come up with a new agreement in which a third investor would take a 20 percent stake alongside the 40 percent stakes of Mediaset and Vivendi. The pay-TV unit was valued at EUR 756 million in the original share-based deal reached in April.
