MediaTek expands ASIC services with new long range SerDes IP chip

MediaTek said it has expanded its ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) services with a new chip, the 112G Long Range (LR) SerDes IP chip. Available with silicon-proven 7nm FinFET process technology, the chip is aimed at helpings data centres process high volumes of specific types of data and to create tailored next-generation connectivity applications.
