Megafon expands LTE network in Irkutsk

Russian mobile operator Megafon has expanded the coverage of its LTE network in the Irkutsk region, reports Siberian News. Some 80,000 residents can now use the network in the Nizhneudinsk and Slyudyanka municipalities, as well as in Ust-Orda Buryat county. The services launched in the towns of Nizhneudinsk, Syuduyanka, Baykalsk and Ust-Ordynskiy. The LTE services use the 1,800 MHz and 2,600 MHz bands there.
