Russian mobile operator Megafon has completed a massive project on the deployment of a 100 Gbps backbone route for China Mobile. The route interconnected international telecommunications nodes of the China-based operator.
The route connecting Asia and Europe also crosses areas of Belarus and Mongolia. Megafon has rented 10 Gbps Europe-Asia links to China Mobile.
China Mobile recently launched its own subsidiary in Russia. The branch plans to focus on serving Russian branches of China-based companies. The new company will also offer data backbone links on the route connecting Europe and Asia.
