Meta given priority access to power grid after lobbying Dutch govt - report

Facebook lobbied multiple ministries in the Dutch government to gain approval for a hyperscale data centre in Zeewolde in the Netherlands, De Telegraaf reports. Based on public information requests, the paper found that Facebook, now known as Meta, was in contact with both the economic affairs ministry and the general affairs ministry, which coordinates overall government policy.
