Mexican govt bans mobile signal blocking, except in jails

The Mexican government has issued a decree amending the Telecommunications and Broadcasting Law and the Federal Criminal Code to ban the use, manufacture or marketing of equipment that blocks or cancels mobile phone signals, reports Telesemana. The only exception to the new rule will be the country's social rehabilitation centres, prisons and juvenile detention centres, where the authorities will be able to continue using devices to block wireless signals.
