Mexican mobile broadband penetration soars to over 60%

Mexico has registered one of the highest growth rates in fixed internet and mobile broadband use among OECD countries in recent years, according to the latest OECD Science, Technology and Industry (STI) Scoreboard. The 2017 edition of the report into the digital economy in the 35 OECD countries said Mexican mobile broadband penetration soared to 60.9 percent in December 2016, up from just 4.2 percent in 2010, a growth only surpassed by China and the Czech Republic.
