Mexican pay-TV rates 60% below LatAm average - study

Mexico remains by far the most affordable country in Latin America for pay-TV services, according to a new study from the Competitive Intelligence Unit (CIU). The average price of a basic pay-TV package in Mexico is USD 26.3 a month, some 60 percent lower than the regional average of USD 42.7 and well below the average cost in Peru (USD 47.5), Colombia (USD 47.8), Chile (USD 50) and Argentina (USD 52.5). The only two other countries below the regional average are Ecuador (USD 40) and Brazil (USD 34.6).
