Mexican price war has eased off – America Movil

Friday 28 April 2017 | 09:17 CET | News
After years of fierce competition between Telcel, Telefonica and most recently AT&T, the price war over mobile services appears to have eased off in the last few months, according to America Movil CEO Daniel Hajj Aboumrad. "Prices in Mexico right now are some of the cheapest in the world," said Hajj in a conference call, according to the Wall Street Journal. "Of course, we would love to raise prices, but it doesn't make sense. In broadband we are not increasing prices, and in wireless we are not increasing prices," he added.
