Mexican regulator approves Telcel spectrum acquisition

Mexico's communications regulator IFT has approved Telcel's acquisition of around 60 MHz of spectrum in the 2.5 GHz band from media company MVS Communicaciones for an undisclosed amount. First announced last November, Telcel said the spectrum covers different regions throughout Mexico and it expects the transaction to close in the second quarter of the year.
