Mexican smartphone penetration up to 86%

Mexico ended the third quarter of 2017 with smartphone penetration at 85.8 percent of mobile lines, some 14.8 percent higher than the year-earlier quarter, according to a report published by The Competitive Intelligence Unit (CIU). There were a total of 96.9 million active smartphones in the country at the end of September, up from 90.7 million at the end of 2016 and 77.3 million at the end of 2015.
