Mexican telecom user complaints fall 28% in Q2

Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) said the 'Soy Usuario' online consumer platform it runs with consumer protection agency Profeco received 5,202 complaints about telecom services in the second quarter of 2021, down nearly 28 percent compared to the 7,204 received in the previous quarter. The vast majority of the complaints (79%) have already been resolved, 11.8 percent are still being processed while the remaining 9.5 percent were cancelled by the users themselves or abandoned due to lack of interest.
