Mexican watchdog proposes 5G spectrum price cut

Mexico's telecommunications regulator IFT has proposed reducing the cost of spectrum earmarked to host 5G services following the disappointing results of the multi-band frequency auction held earlier this month. In a document sent to the country's Senate, the watchdog proposed cutting the price of concessions in the 600MHz, 1500MHz (L-band), 3.3GHz-3.45GHz and 3.45GHz-3.6GHz bands to make the deployment of commercial 5G networks more attractive.
