Mexico readying 600MHz tender in 2020

Mexican communications regulator IFT has approved a new annual frequency allocation programme and confirmed plans to auction frequencies in the 600MHz, 1.9GHz and 3.3GHz plans next year. In a statement, the watchdog said the PABF 2020 plan envisages a tender for 5G-enabled spectrum in the 614MHz to 698MHz range after becoming the first country in the world to fully free up the band for mobile broadband use just under a year ago.
