Mexico starts tender for free-to-air TV channels

Mexican regulator Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has launched a tender for two new free-to-air TV channels with nationwide coverage in Mexico. The concessions for the digital broadcast networks will be granted for 20 years, with mandatory coverage in 246 locations within the Mexican territory.
