Mexico telecoms sector attracts 13% of FDI since 2013

The telecommunications sector has attracted 13 percent of Mexico's foreign direct investment (FDI) since the country implemented its reform of the Telecoms Act in 2013, reports El Economista, citing communications undersecretary Monica Aspe Bernal. "The telecommunications reform has converted Mexico into a safe, trustworthy and profitable destination for foreign investment on an international scale," said Aspe at the NEC Innovative Solutions Fair 2015 LatAm. The minister added that the telecoms sector has grown twice as much as the Mexican economy as a whole since the Telecoms Act was
