Mexico to reach 200 mln IoT devices by 2020

The value of the Mexican Internet of Things (IoT) market is set to rise to USD 4.2 billion this year, a 26 percent increase compared to the figure of USD 3.3 billion posted in 2016, reports local daily El Economista, citing figures from Deloitte. The market has so far been driven by business use in areas such as manufacturing and transport but the growth in consumer IoT applications is set to substantially increase IoT adoption from around 8 million connected devices last year to 200 million by 2020.
