Mexico waives Telesites institutional approval

Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has decided that Telesites, the recently spun off towers business of America Movil, does not require institutional approval to begin operations, reports local daily Reforma, citing IFT commissioner Maria Elena Estavillo. She said the regulator decided to waive the requirement to provide notification of an administrative restructure following America Movil's move to spin off a network of around 10,800 towers into the new company Telesites.
