Mexico's IFT consults on competition rules and fines

Tuesday 2 October 2018 | 10:52 CET | News
Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has launched a public consultation on proposed amendments to existing rules on economic competition for the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors. In a statement, the IFT said the changes are above all designed to regulate the procedure for waiving or reducing fines imposed in investigations into monopolistic practices or illicit concentrations. All interested parties are invited to submit their views by the deadline of 12 November 2018.
