Mexico's IFT lifts price controls on wholesale broadband in 52 municipalities

Mexico's telecoms and broadcasting regulator IFT announced that it has lifted regulatory pricing on local-loop access in 52 municipalities, allowing wholesale vendors to set their own tariff. IFT said analysis of competition in Mexico showed that in each of the locations concerned the dominant local wholesale provider was no longer the leading fixed-broadband operator.
