Mexico's IFT publishes 2019 mobile interconnection charges

Mexico's telecommunications watchdog IFT has announced the publication of the revised mobile interconnection fees to be applied throughout 2019. In a statement, the regulator maintained different interconnection tariffs for the dominant operator Telcel (America Movil) and its rivals. Telcel can charge rival operators MXN 0.028313 per minute for calls to its network starting 01 January 2019, marginally less than the MXN 0.028562 per minute tariff applied this year, while competitors (Movistar and AT&T) can charge MXN 0.112623 per minute for mobile calls to their networks, compared to MXN
