Micromax tops Indian smartphone market, ousts Samsung

Micromax has become the first domestic vendor to take the top spot in the Indian smart phone market, the third largest in the world, according to a report from Canalys. Micromax holds a 22 percent share of India's total smartphone market, ahead of Samsung at 20 percent. Overall, the Indian market saw very strong annual growth of 90 percent, with 21.6 million units shipping in the fourth quarter. The top four players in the fourth quarter 2014 in India by units shipped were Micromax, Samsung, Karbonn and Lava.

Why pay more just for a brand name & bogusly created YouTube hype with product launches of too many versions... What matters are Hardy Usable Device, Elegant Exterior Design, Good Processor, High RAM, External SDRAM, USB3.0 port (File Transfer & Printer Connectivity), Wireless, Auto O/S Update, 4800mAH or higher battery or Extendable Battery Port, Remote Desktop App... If sold for USD 200 with 2-8 payment , Micromax could storm Sri Lanka Domestic Market, especially targeting Students & Young Executives...
