Micron ships 176-Layer NAND flash memory

Tuesday 10 November 2020 | 12:57 CET | News
Micron Technology said it began volume shipments of what it calls the world's first 176-layer 3D NAND flash memory. Compared with the company's previous generation of high-volume 3D NAND, the new memory improves both read latency and write latency by more than 35 percent. Micron's 176-layer NAND's compact design is suited for products using small form factors, such as mobile storage, autonomous systems, in-vehicle infotainment and SSDs.
