Microsoft announces two new data centres in Norway, signs up Equinor as customer

The Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries has announced that Microsoft will build two new data centres in Norway, and has signed up energy company Equinor as a customer. One will be located in greater Stavanger, and one in Oslo. Minister Torbjorn Roe Isaksen welcomed the investment as a contribution to possible job and wealth creation. The announcement follows the government's 'Norway as data centre nation' strategy launched in February.
