Microsoft buys Italian IoT provider Solair

Microsoft has announced the acquisition of Italian Internet of Things (IoT) provider Solair for an undisclosed amount. Solair delivers IoT services to customers across a number of industries, including manufacturing, retail, food and beverage and transportation, with Microsoft confirming that the Italian company's technology will be used to upgrade its Azure IoT Suite. "Solair shares our ambition for helping customers harness their untapped data and create new intelligence with IoT, and this acquisition supports our strategy to deliver the most complete IoT offering for enterprises," said
