Microsoft CEO outlines strategy, to hold on to Xbox

Microsoft is not planning to exit the games console market and sell its Xbox division. In a strategy speech to staff, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said it was important to stay in the gaming market, as this is the "single biggest digital life category, measured in both time and money spent, in a mobile-first world". The CEO underlined that "mobile-first" and "cloud-first" will be the key tenets of the group's strategy, moving away from the previous idea of Microsoft as a "devices and services" company.
