Microsoft cuts Xbox One price, adds easier access to apps

Wednesday 14 May 2014 | 09:55 CET | News
Microsoft is introducing a cheaper version of its Xbox One gaming console and giving customers greater access to apps such as Netflix and Skype over the device. The new version of the console will be available for the lower price of USD 399 without the Kinect motion controller. Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners will also now be able to access entertainment apps without subscribing to an Xbox Gold membership, enhancing the console's use as a video device. Microsoft said the changes come in response to customer feedback.
