Microsoft execs to see restructuring plan on 1 July - report

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is expected to unveil the group's restructuring plans at a meeting with senior executives on 1 July, people close to the situation told All Thing D. Ballmer is said to have worked with a small group of executives and some board members in the decision-making process. He wrote last October of plans to transform Microsoft into a 'devices and services' company. There is a high level of discomfort among the group's high-ranking managers, many of whom have been with the firm for many years. The last major reorganisation before Ballmer's arrival was in 2008.
