Microsoft extends Xbox Music to iOS, Android
Microsoft will extend its Xbox Music service to iOS and Android devices and will launch free music streaming over a web-based platform when the Xbox One launches on 22 November. The Xbox Music Pass costs EUR 9.99 per month or EUR 99.99 per year for unlimited access at anytime with playback across all iOS and Android phones, tablets, PCs as well as the Xbox game console. Microsoft’s free online streaming can be found at music.xbox.com or through the Xbox app on Windows 8 notebooks and tablets.

"Xbox Music now, more than ever, powers music experiences between Windows 8, Xbox, Windows Phone, and now iOS, Android and the Web," said Jerry Johnson, general manager of Xbox Music. "We’re also excited to connect artists with their fans on the most anticipated consumer product of the year when Xbox One launches."

Xbox Music will continue to grow over the coming months as Microsoft adds radio to the free player. A new Web Playlist tool will be added to Xbox Music this autumn. In the coming months, additional updates for iOS and Android platforms will become available, including an offline mode that lets users save music to their devices for playback without an internet connection.
