Microsoft HoloLens arrives in Benelux

Microsoft said its HoloLens became available in the Benelux on 1 December. The company announced in November that it would be bringing its reality headset to 29 more markets in Europe. The device was already available in 10 markets, including China, the UK and the US.

The HoloLens is primarily intended for business and educational purposes. Microsoft calls it a mixed reality device, because it is suitable for both virtual and augmented reality. The device is available in two versions: the Developer Edition (EUR 3,299) and the Commercial Suite (EUR 5,489). In Europe, the HoloLens is for sale through the Microsoft Store and resellers Bechtle and Econocom.

The device has been available in country longer for tests, for example for educational purposes or as support for complex surgery. There will now be local support from Microsoft.
