Microsoft launches Kids mode for Edge browser, with less tracking and ads

Monday 19 April 2021 | 14:15 CET | News
Microsoft has announced the general availability of Microsoft Edge Kids Mode, which provides a protected online environment for children browsing the internet with its web browser Edge on a shared device. To access the service, parents can select "Browse in Kids Mode" on their account profile. They will then be asked to choose the age group of their child, either 5-8 or 9-12. Parents will need authentication to exit the mode, to make sure their child is not accidently trying to navigate outside of the allowed sites.
