Microsoft launching Mac version of Defender antivirus software

Microsoft has announced the imminent launch of a Mac version of its Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). Previously limited to the Windows OS and Microsoft 365 subscribers, the software will now be called Microsoft Defender ATP, with a limited preview made available for businesses that have devices running macOS Mojave, macOS High Sierra or macOS Sierra.
