Microsoft opens first European flagship store in London

Microsoft opens its first European flagship store in London on 11 July.  Located on Oxford Circus, the 22,000 sq ft 3-storey facility is Microsoft's first physical retail store in the UK. It has 150 Store Associates, speaking a total of 45 languages. 

The store has a full-sized McLaren Senna sports car that operates as a Forza Motorsport 7 experience; a Gaming Lounge; a Community Theatre with free workshops all-year round; and a whole floor dedicated to help organisations and businesses use technology.

The ground floor will welcome visitors with a large video wall and Surface devices on tables, with HoloLens mixed-reality headsets on the left and the McLaren sports car on the right. The Gaming Lounge is on the first floor, where visitors can play the latest PC and Xbox titles in gaming chairs and professional pods. They can also buy 3rd party laptops and accessories, get tech support, trainings, repairs and advice at the Answer Desk. 

The second floor features an  enterprise areas to help support, train and grow businesses. Product Advisors and Cloud Technical Experts will be available to help them try and deploy Microsoft 365 and other resources. 

Microsoft UK CEO Cindy Rose also confirmed that the company was donating GBP 1 million to three charities to help them continue teaching digital skills - UK Youth, The London Community Foundation and the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
