Microsoft premieres Xbox One X

Microsoft unveiled what it calls the world’s most powerful console, Xbox One X, and its largest and most diverse games lineup in E3 history, at the Xbox E3 2017 Briefing on 11 June, 2017, in Los Angeles.

Broadcast for the first time in 4K UHD on Mixer, Xbox showcased a record 42 games in its briefing including 22 with console exclusivity from creators large and small. Coming to all Xbox One markets starting 7 November, Xbox One X will retail for USD 499, GBP 449, EUR 499, CAD 599 and AUD 649.1.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer underscored that every game will play great across the Xbox One family.

Xbox One has 40 percent more power than any other console and offers immersive true 4K gaming when paired with a 4K display, such as Samsung’s flagship QLED TV. Xbox One X also offers a 4K entertainment package with 4K Ultra HD for Blu-ray X and streamed content, HDR support for gaming and video, and Dolby Atmos support. Xbox One X will join the Xbox One family of devices and coexist alongside Xbox One and Xbox One S, and all Xbox One games and accessories are compatible.

Microsoft announced plans to bring its Xbox gaming platform to the cloud, so users can stream and play games across multiple devices. Public trials of the Project xCloud are planned to start in 2019.

Microsoft has announced an update to its Xbox One platform that includes a new interface design and support for Arabic. The update was made available to developers via Xbox Insiders. Xbox unlimited subscription service goes live in the UK

Xbox said that its new subscription service in the UK has gone live, giving gamers unlimited access to more than 100 titles, for GBP 7.99 per month.
