Microsoft readies 4K game console for launch

Friday 7 April 2017 | 11:07 CET | News
The first details of Microsoft's Project Scorpio, a new game console expected to reach stores later this year, have reached the market. The device will feature the Scorpio Engine with an octa-core 2.3 GHz CPU and 6 Tflop GPU, as well as 12 GB RAM and a 1 TB hard disk, according to the data compiled by Eurogamer and Digital Foundry. The much higher specifications than the latest Xbox or Playstation are expected to support the launch of 4K games. At the same time, existing Xbox One games will still work on the device.
