Microsoft reaches settlement with former head of Windows 8

The former president of Microsoft's Windows division, Steven Sinofsky, has reached a multi-million dollar settlement with the company after having been let go last November in the wake of criticism of Windows 8 OS, whose development he spearheaded. Microsoft said in a regulatory filing that Sinofsky will receive all the unvested stock awards he was granted in June 2012 and half of the possible performance-related shares for the next fiscal year.
