Microsoft reports strong Q3 driven again by cloud, plus AI, business applications

Microsoft has reported a strong set of results for its fiscal third quarter to end March, driven again by Microsoft Cloud but helped also by infrastructure, AI productivity and business applications, CEO Satya Nadella said. The CEO added that Microsoft returned USD 6.3 billion to shareholders in the form of dividends and share buybacks in Q3, an increase of 37 percent from the year before. Revenues advanced 16 percent from the year before to USD 26.8 billion and the operating profit lifted 23 percent to USD 8.3 billion. The net profit leaped 35 percent to USD 7.4 billion, with diluted
