Microsoft set to announce major job cuts - report

Microsoft is planning to make its biggest round of job cuts in the last five years, as it tries to slim down and integrate Nokia's mobile phone unit, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. The reductions, which could be announced when the company reports its fiscal fourth quarter results on 22 July, are likely to be at Nokia and Microsoft divisions that overlap with Nokia, along with marketing and engineering.
