Microsoft takes aim at gaming market with new acquisitions, consoles and games

During the Xbox E3 Briefing event held on Sunday 10 June, Microsoft announced a number of acquisition that will double its game development studios. The company is planning to develop a game streaming service that will unlock console-quality gaming on any device. It also introduced new innovations to push digital gaming forward, including FastStart, from its Machine Learning Team. Finally, the company unveiled 52 games, including 18 console launch exclusives and 15 world premieres. Microsoft said it wants a portfolio of games on every device, including newly announced Microsoft Studios games.
