Microsoft to situate next European wind farm in NL

Microsoft has announced its second wind project for Europe, saying it will work with Vattenfall, one of Europe's largest electricity and heat retail and producers, in the Netherlands. Microsoft announced its first wind project a month back, in Ireland. For its Dutch project, the company will purchase 100 percent of the wind energy generated from a repowered and expanded wind farm near its local data centre operations in the country. The 180-megawatt wind farm will be constructed and operated by Nuon, part of Vattenfall group, in the Wieringermeer Polder, near Amsterdam. Vattenfall will start
