Microsoft vows to reach zero waste in direct operations, products by 2030

Microsoft announced its goal to become zero waste in its direct operations, products and packaging by 2030. To address its own waste creation, Microsoft will reduce nearly as much waste as it generates while reusing, repurposing or recycling its solid, compost, electronics, construction and demolition, and hazardous wastes. It said it'll do this by building Microsoft Circular Centers to reuse and repurpose servers and hardware in its data centres. It said it'll also eliminate single-use plastics in its packaging and use technology to improve its waste accounting. It will make new investments
