Microsoft wants 10% of German smartphone market

Microsoft finds Germany a tough smartphone market for its Lumia range, according to former Nokia CEO and current Microsoft Devices head Steven Elop in an interview with German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. He said that the Lumia smartphones have a market share of around 10 percent in the UK, France and Italy, but not in Germany which is a more important market for Microsoft then it was for Nokia. The company is targeting a 10 percent marketshare and according to Statcounter its OS Windows Phone has a share of 2.6 percent.
