Milan court orders ISP to take down football streaming site

A Milan court has accepted a complaint from commercial TV broadcaster Mediaset and for the first time ordered a major Internet Service Provider (ISP) to block access to popular Spanish p2p link site Roja Directa. In a statement Mediaset welcomed the ruling, accusing Roja Directa of hosting numerous p2p links to live football broadcasts of games from Italy's top tier Serie A league and the Champions League for which Mediaset owns the exclusive rights. The broadcaster added that the judge ordered the unnamed ISP to take down all links to Roja Directa sites regardless of the country in which
