Milenio, Ddcam win Mexican digital TV distribution tender

Mexico's Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) has announced that the manufacturers Comercializadora Milenio and Ddcam Mexico have been awarded the tender to distribute 3.6 million digital TV sets and decoders as part of the transition process to DTT. The companies will distribute up to 80,000 sets a day starting 25 September in highly populated parts of the country such as Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Guerrero. The SCT has estimated that a total of 13 million digital TVs will need to be distributed across the country as part of the process to switch off the analogue signal
