Millicom issues USD 500 mln bond

Millicom has completed the issuance of a 7-year USD 500 million bond with a fixed coupon of 4.75 percent. The issuance was done at 99.266 and the demand for the bond reached USD 3.9 billion primarily from the US and Europe. The bond will be listed in Luxembourg. Millicom plans to use the majority of the proceeds to refinance debt maturing in Africa in 2013.
