Mindscape, games publisher which is owned by Pearson, has decided not to support the Nintendo 64 games format as part of a revision of its release programme. The company has almost halved the number of titles scheduled for release in 1996 and 1997, including abandoning plans to launch the Monster Dunk basketball game for Nintendo 64. It is believed that the company is not in a position to invest large amounts of money on a format which could still be considered risky. Mindscape is expected to make a loss of GBP46 mil for 1996, following a loss of GBP6.9 mil in 1995.
