Mobile industry starts push for reserving 6 GHz band for 5G services

Leading mobile operators and equipment suppliers have issued a joint statement calling on regulators worldwide to consider reserving the 6 GHz band for 5G mobile services. The statement comes as several countries are considering making at least part of the 6 GHz band available licence-free for Wi-Fi services.
